AST127: LOW FLUNG - REFLECTIONS FROM THE CAMPSIE CENTRE FOR ELECTRONIC MUSIC RESEARCH C20

Danny Wild, aka Low Flung, surely needs little introduction to anyone with their ear tuned to the Australian electronic underground frequency. Wild has been beyond prolific as LF, carving out a healthy discog on labels such as Butter Sessions, Bedroom Suck, not to mention his own thoroughly excellent (and recently rejuvenated!) imprint, Moontown. Here we see two sides of Low Flung, the A lending itself more toward stereoscopic, experimentally dubbed-out rhythm tracks. The B is similarly expansive in its vision, but inhabits an uneasy(ish) ambient zone. This emission from Flung’s Campsie studio represents a concise distillation of all of the elements I’ve dug in his earlier works, a pleasure to make available.
