AST152: Jon Collin - Tunguska

Jon has been a known-quantity since the start of his Winebox Press cassette label a yonk ago. Since then he's carved out an unfuckwithable niche, spanning many solo tapes/LP's and in collaboration (notably across two shared platters with Demdike Stare). His two excellent, recent LP's on Discreet Music show a player at his full powers.

This tape was quickly assembled for Jon's (upcoming) 2023 shows in Australia. No stranger to deconstructed blues playing and experimental sound-world whittlin', these sketches and full-blown pieces mostly see Jon riffing on a harsher note. Chanelling it's namesake, Tunguska is the music of the spheres, if they all came hurtling down at once.

Limted run of 30 rust-coloured tapes, most to be sold at the performances.
